The Association is managed by a Board elected by members at the Annual General Meeting consisting of a President, Vice President and six to eight Board Members who attend regular meetings throughout the year.
ADRA maintains a working relationship with other related associations in the industry. Similarly it is ADRA's stated objective to liaise closely with the Debt Collectors Council to ensure that members interests are protected and enhanced.
The Association represents its members and the collection industry in developing reasonable and equitable legislation and standards. It informs members of changes in legislation and regulations and helps elected officials and government institutions understand the importance of the credit/collection business as well as the industry's needs. Such efforts emphasize that, while some regulation is desirable, a trend toward erosion of creditors' and collectors' remedies and inconsistent application of controls can harm both businesses and consumers.
